Veedersburg - Mrs. Gillie Ann Pyle, 86 of Rt 1, Veedersburg died at 3 a.m. Monday at the Ben Hur Nursing Home in Crawfordsville. She had been in failing health for almost 3 years and a patient at the nursing home 3 months. Mrs. Pyle had lived at the Veedersburg address for 52 years. She was a member of the New Liberty Christian Church and its Ladies Aid and also a member of the Wallace Order of Eastern Star. A daughter of William Smith and wife, she was born in Kentucky Feb 8, 1881. She was married to James G. Pyle who died in 1956. Surviving are two sons, Virgil O. Pyle of Hillsboro and Ernest W. Pyle of Warsaw, Ind; two daughters, Mrs. Jewell Grimes of Wallace and Mrs. Nellie Stockdale of Danville, Ill; a brother, Fred Smith of Louisville, Ky; two sisters Mrs. Grace Bruce and Mrs. Lillie Miller both of Cave City, Ky; 12 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. Three brothers preceded her in death. Services are pending at the Crumley & Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro.- typed by kbz
